Share Your Best Or Worst Acquisition Search Experience

penguinsMy Best acquisition search experience was a 24% return on a direct mail piece I did for a client some years ago in the temporary help field.  Out of about 100 searches I have never seen anything like it.  Hundreds of candidates and most of them qualified (stunning success).

My worst acquisition search story was a firm that had contacted about twenty brokers with vague search criteria and received about 200 target candidates, none of which fit but they did spend the next 4 years investigating (site visits all over the nation).  A huge waste of time and resources (and they lost market share in the process).

Share your stories here.  They can be interesting and we learn this way.
